Maya is a junior journalism major with a magazine concentration. She grew up in Omaha, Nebraska, and lives in Chicago. Her favorite place to get groceries is at the Logan Square Farmers Market, which runs year round. At the market, she loves to buy her favorite vegetables, such as kale and spinach, and adores the fresh flowers.

Alyssa grew up in the suburbs of Chicago. She is a journalism major with a concentration in magazines, and is excited to be in her final semester. Her favorite place to shop for groceries is Trader Joe’s because of its assortment of organic and dairy free options.

Bella is a senior multimedia journalism major with a concentration in news and features. She’s from the northern suburbs of Chicago, and currently lives in Evanston. She likes to shop at either Whole Foods or Trader Joe’s and, when weather permits, the Evanston farmer’s market. She loves raspberries and jalapeños.

Blair is a senior journalism major with a concentration in news and feature writing. They grew up in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, before moving to Chicago. Their go-to grocery store is The Dill Pickle Food Co-op in Logan Square. Blair can't wait for summer to come so they can live solely on peaches and nectarines

Chardai is a sophomore journalism major with a concentration in magazines. She grew up in Silver Spring, Maryland and lives in Chicago, Illinois. Her favorite place to get groceries is Whole Foods Market and she loves grapes.

Ashley is a sophomore journalism major with a focus in magazines. She grew up in the south suburbs of Chicago. Her favorite places to get groceries are Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods Market. Her favorite fruits are oranges and bananas. She loves protein packed smoothies.
Alexa Rixon
Alexa is a junior journalism major with a concentration in magazines. She spent most of her life in Hong Kong before she moved to Chicago. She is a fruit lover and enjoys vegetables. Some robust watermelon is a top player when it comes to Alexa’s favorite fruit.
